Cover yourself up with meat,  jack off and cum in the audience, no press is bad press you want to be famous? lose all dignity in the end we are all crazy some just hide it better than others.

• Play everywhere: Are you ready for this? o shit man, now you are a bad ass motherfucker you got your attitude, you got your band, play everywhere you see that little bar in the corner book a fucking gig there and completely destroy the place you’re the boss now, nobody is going to tell you how to live your life,  see that little college your friend goes to? bookity book and explode as hard as you can, satan will be pissing his pants once he hears you from the depths of hell.

• Fuck as many women as you physically can: So your band is huge now everybody knows how much of a bad ass you are, well start sexing up, what are you waiting for, sex until your dick falls off, sex until there’s no women left you haven’t sexed, sex until your cock becomes a swelled grapefruit with bleeding blisters from all the stds you have.

• Die: So you have conquered the world, you have slept with thousands of women, and you have done every single drug out there, so what´s next you ask? well now you need to die. That’s right now you need to die, do you want to be another washed up musician making his third comeback just because they are out o money? fuck that, kill yourself, overdose, get yourself assassinated the more scandalous or mysterious the better you need to die at the top of your game so people will remember what a legendary entity you were for all eternity.

Throughout the history of heavy music we have always seen a tendency or popularization of a certain sub genre. From Glam to Nu metal, from trash to Grunge. There is always a sub genre that tends to stick out more and even appeal to non heavy music fans. Lately we all know that one of the most popular subgenres is the -core music and scene.

Be it Deathcore, metalcore, burguercore, etc. Obviously like we have seen through the history of heavy music, the ones that matter will prevail while the copycat bunch will just stay in the shadows until … well their death or people just not caring anymore.

Lately there is a new type of sound that some people refer to as “djent” . I am actually a huge fan of the djent sound and the bands that are coming from this new wave. So I wanted to write this article to show some bands that I personally love and to hear from you guys if you think this will be the New Nu metal or the new metalcore or perhaps just an awesome subgenre.

So here´s some essential items you definitely need to pack:

Personal hygiene items: you´re going to be stuck in a van with some other dudes for who knows how long so you better take some deodorant, cologne, toothbrush and any other thing you might need to make sure you don´t be stinking that bitch up.

Sleeping bag: you never know if your´re going to have a place to spend the night in so always bring the good ol sleepin so you can bust that thing out a bam! you sleeping in trees, mountains, lakes you name it  and you own it.

Food: Snacks are always welcome and you never know when you might need em so stack em up in that sack of yours cause it could be a long trip and you don´t want to be cooking roadkill in the middle of the night.

Clean underwear: O shit, this is a must you must have clean underwear at all times there´s nothing worse than not having back up undies in case any accident may happen.

So what makes a food metal?   well, It has to be affordable otherwise to me its not metal. Easy and simple to eat, so no fucking caviar with pearl spoons here ok? Easy to find because if it ain’t edible on tour It ain’t metal because what would metal be without touring? who knows and who cares. And I know the term sounds funny but bear with me on this one as you will see in the end all you metal guys out there will relate.

5.- POTATO CHIPS

When you are in a hurry before a faceless concert nothing beats a huge bag of your favorite flavor of Doritos (or insert favorite chip name here). And to top it all of it says extreme. Did someone say metal??

4.- HAMBURGUER

when on the road after a gig nothing beats the sight of a huge billboard with a king or a Donald or a girl with ponytails. So if a burger ain’t metal tell that to the soft meat layered in cheese melting in Ozzy’s mouth.

3.- PIZZA

come on its fucking pizza!! who doesn’t like it and if pizza isn’t for metal bastards like me well then… I don’t like metal… yes I said it

2.- BBQ RIBS

Grilling is metal. Come on its meat on top of a metal grill! Nothing beats a good BBQ to the sound of metal on a cheap stereo. Don’t believe me? ask lamb of gods front man Randy Blythe.

1.- BEER

When there is no food or there is food, I prefer an ice cold beer. You know why? to a metal head beer is the whole meal with dessert and everything. Who needs food when there is beer and yes beer is the most metal food on the planet.

So you chose the guitar as your main weapon of destruction, and  for that we salute you. The guitar is not only iconic but a shitload of fun to play,  but “I have no idea where to start” you say well fear not young warrior here we offer you five essential tips so you can be on your way to conquering arenas and women around the world.

1. Warm up those limbs: Playing a guitar is just like exercise, either you warm up or you end up getting injured so every time before you start playing dedicate at least 10 min warming up your hands, do some basic hand stretches with each finger and rotate the wrists, then learn some basic figures for the guitar and repeat them for a while increasing the speed slowly.
2. Learn the almighty power chord: There is a ton of chords out there and they all have their place in composition but if you´re just starting and want to learn some essential chords i would recommend learning the powerchord. This chord is used in all kinds of music and it´s super easy to learn.
3. Learn techniques from as many places as possible: Look everywhere for tips tutorials etc. Jam with everyone expand your knowledge any way you can you never know when the next inspiration may come from.
4. Learn some basic scales: They may be boring and you’re probably thinking that they get in the way of you learning that awesome song you really want to play but they pay off in the long run plus they´re really good warm up exercises.
5. Practice : Practice practice and then practice some more, the best guitarist weren´t born with a guitar in hand and most virtuosos practice 8 hours a day, but always take a little break between practice sessions you also don´t want to fuck up your tendons.
